Although it is easy to be desensitised by media or turn a blind eye to all the conflicts around the world there are so many lives being destroyed by war. In knowing how lucky we are to live in such a peaceful place may we be mindful of the war that is going on in ghettos or countries around the world. We can do our part by bringing mindfulness to the suffering of others.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Oh you better stay vigilant / cause people these days they be acting so militant
Out for themselves, acting with ill intent / you gotta learn to be resilient
I’m saying the big fish are praying / on the weak and the meek while the fish bowls decaying
So much pollution, from the institution / and industries don’t want to find a solution.
While nations fight the crisis for power / from crusades to world wars to isis
We give a day in November buying poppies in vain / and say we remember the pain
But I think, my generations feeling numb to it / and forget to this day people still go through it
There’s a war going on across the globe / and still people slave to make other peoples robes
Chorus:
Woh is this heaven or hell? / I don’t know, I can’t really tell
Many fought for a cause yet fell / for whom the bell tolls may god bless your soul
Verse2:
Man this ain’t a thing of the past / we’re still victims to the class system
While babies are born and mothers kiss them / another soldiers dead so his kiss miss him
While into this life a child’s coming in / another leaves cause a lack of income
And people on welfare don’t fare well / so another ghetto soldier bids their parents farewell
Some kids fight on xbox and play station / other kings fight poverty and starvation
With nations sweeping the world like vultures / another tribe dies and we lose its culture
It seems man, tries to play god / to control the world is their mirage
Confusion from illusions of the devil / so be aware of ripples before you toss a pebble
//Chorus//
